Turbo Vs Supercharger

!±8± Turbo Vs Supercharger

Turbochargers and superchargers are one of the best operation parts you can add to your car. The amount of horsepower created by these things is insane. Depending on the setup sometimes they can duplicate or triple the amount of power in your car. So if your a serious racer who wants faster times a turbocharger or supercharger is a must.

Turbos can fit pretty much any motor as long as the exhaust multiple and decompressed motor block are the right size. If mental about turbocharging your motor you need to settle if you want a smaller turbo which gives a faster boost response but a tiny amount of power, or if you want a larger turbo that takes a tiny more time for the boost to kick in but when it does it makes up for that lost time in a big way. Turbos work by being propelled by the exhuast gas and are all the time the same climatic characteristic as the engine. Turbos need fresh oil so high rated oils must be used in your car.

The advantages of using turbos is you have the quality to originate more power by using boost controllers or upgrading to a larger turbo. But there is a down side of using turbos. Turbos tend to furnish more heat as the boost increases which means they originate dense air that cannot be compressed. Added an intercooler can be added to help preclude this problem. Turbos must also be allowed to heat up before you race and also cool down for a combine minutes at idle after your race.

Superchargers can also be made for any engine. There are two kinds of supercharger kits both use a fanbelt pulley to originate power. Superchargers can originate up to 40-50% horsepower with just a basic kit. Unlike turbos superchargers are ready to with the start of your engine. Superchargers furnish boost at around 2000 rpms. Superchargers also tend to last longer then turbos because they wish less maintenance. However there is also a down side to superchargers, since a pulley is used to originate power this puts a strain on your engine. Also if you want more boost with a supercharger its not as easy as a turbo by just switching out the turbo you will have to buy a whole new kit.
